TLA 8000 drill machine

TLA 8000 horizontal drill is a technologically advanced machine that allows drilling in solid material by trepanning and boring holes with SANDVIK STS system tools to a maximum diameter of 500 mm and a maximum length of 8000mm. The concept of trepanning brings a significant increase in performance with a direct impact on profit. Obtained during drilling waste material in the form of a cylinder with a trepanning head diameter, ready for further processing, means additional savings. 

In general terms, a TLA 8000 drilling machine consists of two separate parts:

The detail assembly - the part of the machine where the tooled detail is installed, aligned and set in rotary motion. This set includes the following integrated subsets:
o    Cast iron bed plate with 4 longitudinal two-piece T-slots, 
o    Lathe headstock 
o    4- jaw disk with a diameter of 2700mm 
o    Headstock base with a pneumatic cushion system, regulation of transverse play in respect to the bed axis and a set of bed plate set screws
o    Two 3-point, roller, closed detail supports, 
o    Main headstock engine drive

The tool assembly - the part of the machine where a tool is mounted: the pole guiding the drill head. This assembly consists of the following components:
o    4 part tool bed with a roller rail system and pin transfer of setting and working feeds.
o    Tool headstock on a base, controlled by CNC, powered by servo-drives in a master-slave system.
o    Telescopes (3 pcs) - mobile sliding support of the tool pole, used for supporting particularly long poles and suppressing vibration produced by the operating machine.
o    The support – a tool guiding head base, used also for supplying the cutting area with cooling oil and directing the flow properly.
The above-described assemblies are joined with each other by power supply, control and the media (air and coolant) supply systems.
The machine is equipped with modern SIEMENS Sinumerik 840D numerical control system, providing unlimited possibilities of configurating the machine tool, in line with the latest trends in machining processes.
